Wedding Season is In Full Swing
Can you hear it?
The bells are sounding everywhere now that borders are opened, international travel is back up, and lock-downs are over.
Time for you to start busily planning, including Choosing Your Wedding Rings that will be worn for the rest of your married lives!
It is an important and fun time, but many don’t know where to start.
This often results in putting it off until the last minute and trust us when we say you don’t deserve the added stress (and often regret) of choosing rings just days before you tie the knot.
Instead, we have curated some of our favourite designs to help make your choice an easy one!
Where do I start?
For Him:
If you are looking for a wedding ring, or perhaps matching rings, Skip to ‘Match? Or not to Match?’.
For Her:
Your Wedding Ring is pre-determined by your engagement ring so understanding what you have, will help you find a starting point – Keep Reading to find out more.
The First Step – Knowing Your Engagement Ring
How can you begin looking at wedding rings if you are unsure what will work with your existing engagement ring?
Here are some examples to help determine what style your engagement ring is.
Does your ring have enough clearance under the setting?
If so, keep reading.
Does your ring sit flush to your finger?
Not sure about your design?
Skip to ‘Curved/Tiara Wedding Ring’ as a safer option, and keep reading.
Straight Wedding Ring
The designs that never go wrong – timeless & classic – but only possible for rings with a high setting.
Something available for every taste, from plain, to Diamond set, to intricate.
Keep in mind, if you are thinking of a full circle of Diamonds in your wedding ring, resizing can be extremely difficult – in some cases impossible.
Curved/Tiara Wedding Ring
Does your ring have a low setting that doesn’t allow for straight wedding rings?
These designs are the first possible options that can be as subtle or as glamorous as you wish.
The main difference between the two styles:
Curved Wedding Rings follow the profile of the engagement ring and typically have stones or no stones at all.
Tiara Wedding Rings are a more ‘busy’ design compared to Curved rings with the largest stone at the point of the curve, making the ring look like a ‘crown’.
Chevron Wedding Ring
A secondary option to curved or tiara styles, is chevron.
This shape can be as extravagant or as simple as you like and is a cute in-between style that suits almost every ring.
Perfect for ladies with rings that sit low to the finger, or if you just love the look.
Custom Wedding Ring
Are you upset nothing will fit beside your ring?
Have no fear! There are options here.
We see many ladies loving the idea of having a standalone engagement ring, but if you would rather have a matching wedding ring to sit beside your engagement ring, there is potential (providing your ring is suitable).
If your ring has a low profile or a gallery that sits flush along your finger, you will need to think of a custom option.
You can still be creative so long as they will work with your ring.
Here are some examples of what we have done previously for our customers to inspire some ideas.
The Bottom Line
Have fun and know that there are unlimited possibilities in regards to wedding ring options.
If you are still stuck, book a design consultation so we can chat about what works and bring your ideas to life.
If your engagement ring requires a custom wedding ring, thanks to our amazing 3D Printer, we are able to print a resin model for a fitting before we commence work (classic styles can be viewed in person).
